If your paint isn't as smooth as glass, chances are you could benefit from using a clay bar. Clay bars are designed to remove embedded contamination from your paints surface, which properly preps your surface for your next detailing steps. Fine Grade Clay Bars are ideal for normal contamination build up, new car preps, removing rail dust and for spot treating bug splatter, tar, sap or other stubborn forms of contamination. When used properly, there is minimal risk of adding micro-marring or swirls to your paints finish. For heavy contamination, such as paint overspray, we recommend using the Medium Grade Clay Bar. We recommend using a clay bar prior to your larger details with polishing, usually twice a year for optimal results.
